A venue garden is seen almost entirely after dark, with a crowd moving through it. That changes the plant list, the layout and where the money goes. Goya at Vagator, Aviary, Cohin and Chhupa Rustam are all ours.

Planting, water features and lighting-aware layout for hospitality venues in Goa, built to survive a crowd and a monsoon.
Designed for artificial light
Warm light flattens flower colour, so structure and leaf do the work after dark. We light surfaces — a stone wall, a path, water — and let the planting read as silhouette against them.
Laid out for a crowd
Nothing sharp or toxic within reach of a walkway, beds edged so the boundary is readable at ankle height in low light, and planting dense enough to survive being leaned on.
Water as the centrepiece
The fountain court at Goya and the lily pond at Chhupa Rustam are both built to stay clear rather than to look good for one season.
Cabling before planting
Lighting runs are trivial to lay in an empty bed and destructive to retrofit into a planted one. The electrician and the planting plan have to meet before anything is dug.
Coastal conditions
Within a few hundred metres of the sea the wind carries salt, and it burns anything not adapted to it. A plant list that works at Assagao can fail at a beach bar four kilometres away.
Turnaround between seasons
Goa runs on a season. Where a venue needs to look new for the next one, we would rather plant fewer areas properly than spread thin across all of them.

Which venues in Goa have you planted?
Goya Nightclub at Vagator, Aviary, Cohin and Chhupa Rustam among them. We have also worked outside the state, at Klinq in Pune.
Our garden is only ever seen at night. Does that change the design?
Substantially. Flower colour largely disappears under warm artificial light, so the planting is chosen for silhouette and leaf texture, and the lighting design and the planting plan are done together rather than one after the other.
Can planting survive a busy venue?
If it is dense and properly edged, yes. Sparse beds with exposed soil become bare soil within a season once people start walking through them. Density is the thing that protects a bed, not fencing it off.
How quickly can it be done?
It depends on the site and on whether drainage work is needed, which it usually is. The honest answer needs a look at the space — but the season you are aiming at is the first thing to tell us.
Do you handle the lighting as well?
We plan the planting around the lighting and work with whoever is installing it. The important part is that the two are decided together, before the beds are built.
